Geography
We have been identifying hot and cold places in the world. We have explored the different types of clothes to wear in hot or cold climates. Additionally, we have learnt that the countries closer to the equator are hotter and that the poles are cold.
History
We have learnt about nursing in the past. We looked at the work impact Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole have had on the health care system today.
Ian's Farm Visit
Year 1 enjoyed a wonderful visit from Ian’s Farm. The children loved being able to touch and learn more about the animals. The children were able to stroke, feed and brush the animals.
Year 1 Eureka Visit
Music
Year 1 have enjoyed learning the glockenspiels. We have learnt how to play different notes on the instrument.
