Religion and World Views

This half term, we took a trip to Wakefield Cathedral to walk through the Stations of the Cross. This is the journey Jesus took on Good Friday. This experienece helped us develop our understanding within our Religion and Worldviews unit.

Science

In Year 6, we have studied the human circulatory system, explored how plants and animals are classified, and learnt about electrical circuits and how electricity works.

PE

In PE, we have focused on developing our fitness, as well as improving our skills in gymnastics and dance.

Celebrating World Book Day

Design & Technology

In Design & Technology, we explored how to create our own steady hand games. We combined our practical making skills with what we’ve been learning in Science about electrical circuits.

Our year 5/6 residential

Ancient Egypt Worksop at Leeds City Museum

In the Autumn term, our class went to Leeds City Museum on the train for an Ancient Egypt workshop. We handled artefacts, took part in a hands-on activity about mummification, and learned about life and culture in Ancient Egypt. It was a fun and memorable trip.
